The role of The Lad of The Lake is her greatest success, and earned her the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her role. The following year, she appeared as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC the show, she received more appreciation. She is a popular singer. she has also recorded songs and plays. She is an activist who is a tireless advocate in the cause of LGBT equality.
